The rules of the road for using CleverPupil — written so a parent can understand them without a lawyer.
CleverPupil is an AI-powered tutoring service for kids ages 2–17. The service includes academic tutoring across eight subjects, music lessons in Music Studio, drawing in Sketch Lab, AI co-writing in Story Studio, and educational games. Lessons run on locally-hosted AI models — nothing your child types is sent to a third-party cloud.
The free tier provides limited access (10 lessons per tutor). Paid tiers — Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, AI Skills — provide expanded lesson access for 30 days from payment confirmation. Subscriptions paid in Bitcoin receive a 50% discount on the base; the optional savings boost (0–100% on top) is full price always so every cent reaches your child’s vault.
Subscriptions auto-renew if you opt in. You can pause, change tier, or cancel any month from your parent dashboard.
We accept Bitcoin via BTCPay Server and credit cards via Coinbase’s hosted checkout. Card payments are converted to BTC before they reach our ledger. Bitcoin payments earn the 50% base discount; card payments do not.
Crypto payments are non-refundable once confirmed on-chain. Card payments follow Coinbase’s refund policy. For billing disputes, contact us first at [email protected] — we resolve most issues directly.
Boost amounts flow into a CleverPupil-operated escrow vault and are ledgered per kid. Lightning-released to the parent-controlled wallet on milestone approval. You hold the keys to the destination wallet — we never do. Editing the destination address requires admin approval. Friction by design.
Savings are denominated in satoshis. Bitcoin is volatile; the value of the vault in your local currency may go up or down significantly. Past performance does not predict future results.
AI-generated content is provided for educational purposes. We make no guarantees about factual accuracy. The AI tutor is not a substitute for a credentialed teacher, a doctor, a counselor, or any other licensed professional. For high-stakes academic decisions, please consult a human expert.

Accounts violating these rules may be suspended without refund.
Parents create and manage every kid account. You are responsible for supervising your child’s use of the service, reviewing chat history when prompted, and approving disbursements from the savings vault. Crisis-detection signals are surfaced to you — they are not a replacement for your judgment.
You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or pose a risk to other users. On termination, any vault balance is paid out to your designated Lightning address before the account is closed.
The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim related to the service is capped at the fees you paid in the prior 12 months.
These terms are governed by applicable law in the jurisdiction of Marlow Systems LLC. Disputes will be resolved through good-faith negotiation first; unresolved disputes go to binding arbitration unless prohibited by your local law.
When these terms change materially, we’ll email account holders at least 14 days before the change takes effect. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
